Children & Animals - Child Photography Wales
They say never work with children and animals don’t they? Well, I love a challenge.
Picture the scene … It’s the day before my planned workshop for professional photographers. Final checks on locations I’d already scouted for the day and I pass a farm. Two little faces peeked through a fence to say hello. Two very beautiful shetland ponies. A lightbulb went off in my head. Would it be possible? Would it be a disaster? Shall I ask … shall I? Well I did. I kept it a surprise.
I spent quite a while planning the look for this shoot. As per usual I could see it in my head. I rummaged, hunted, borrowed and scoured for the perfect outfits and (between me and the mum of our model) we nailed it.
Thanks so much for Gareth for bringing along Minnie Mouse and Kimberley, his two rescued shetland ponies for the morning. The kids just loved them and they seemed to liked my carrots! It was cold (doesn’t look it does it but trust me it was!) and this beautiful little girl was both patient and fun. Here’s a few behind the scenes shots from the morning.
if you’re interested in my next workshop in July 2016 there are a few spaces left. I can’t promise ponies but I can guarantee and interesting day full of surprises!
More to come from the day soon.
With love,
I attended with workshop run by Sarah on Sunday and can thoroughly recommend it, she had certainly prepared with 3 very different styled shoots for us. I took a lot away from this and am loving editing the images! Getting down on the ground is a definite must to get the shots you want!
I attended a workshop with Sarah in May 2015 and I would love to attend another one. Sarah is so open with her knowledge and willing to ask any questions that you may have. She has lots of hints and tips for getting the best out of children on a photoshoot. She definitely is one of the best Child photographers in the entire UK.
