THE BLUEBELL SESSIONS
There is nothing quite as spectacular as happening across a forest flooded by a sweet-scented sea of these delicate purplish-blue flowers. They create a magical, wonderful haze of colour, turning ancient woodlands into an enchanted wonderland. It simply takes your breath away. First the sight of the expanse of tiny blue flowers stretching far and beyond the line of trees and the heady perfume that overpowers your senses. I never tire of it.
Every year I tell stories of fairies and dragons who live in this magical place and I watch my little model’s eyes fill with wonder. After all, in folklore, it is said that the fairies will come when the bluebell is rung and hang spells on their petals.
This is why I each year I go on bluebell watch. You see they are unpredictable little things and although their reign is brief (they bloom for only about 2 to 3 weeks in late April/early May) it’s always a very popular backdrop for a magical photo session.
This year I am offering two types of session. Full sessions and a number of mini sessions. Each type of session has different benefits which are outlined below. Mini sessions may not be suitable for everyone and I strongly recommend you have a read through my advice before booking. A full session might give you the time, flexibility and suit your family better.
Full Session
- An in depth pre-session telephone consultation.
- A detailed welcome pack giving you hints and tips about getting the most out of your session.
- Between 20 to 30 hand crafted portraits will be professionally edited and presented for your selection.
- A private, password protected online gallery to share with your friends and family.
- One to two hour photographic shoot on location in the bluebells.
- Styling suggestions and design along with guidance regarding clothing choices available if required at no additional charge.
- The use of various accessories from our prop store if required.

- Please note that this session fee does not include prints, digital files or artwork. You will have the opportunity to purchase items following your session via a home consultation or via the online store. Package prices start at £297. Mini Sessions
- A 30-minute mini photo shoot in the bluebells (usually £50).
- 8 to 10 images fully edited for you to select from presented to you in a personal, password protected online gallery.
- Your choice of 4 high resolution digital files from your session (usually £75 each) available for you to conveniently download directly to your computer.
- A set of signed and mounted 7″ x 5″ prints (usually £35 each).
- You will also get a 20% discount from my a la carte menu should you wish to make additional purchases after the session such as frames, art blocks and prints etc.
- This discounted package offers a saving of £245 on regular prices.
- Mini session are short and sweet with a duration of just 30 minutes rather than a full length session which can take anything between 1 and 2 hours. With full length sessions we have an opportunity to get creative, plan outfit changes and looks. We have the flexibility to have time out and play and get a wide variety of shots. Due to time restrictions mini sessions have to be kept simple. One location, one outfit but still lots of fun! Please be sure to read my mini session guidance prior to booking.
